You can see the color when the layer is selected in the Composition panel and in the Timeline panel Masks are created by drawing paths on any layer with a visual component that is, anything you can create or import into After Effects that you can actually see in a composition. And now, this layer is color-coded orange. For instance, for this layer, I'm going to change it from green to orange. To do this: Click into the square next to the layer name. You can color-code layers and masks in After Effects. The Auto Levels effect sets highlights and shadows by defining the lightest and darkest pixels in each color channel as white and black, and then redistributing intermediate pixel values proportionately. Choose Effect > Color Correction > Auto Levels. Select the office_mask.mov layer in the Timeline panel. Warming it up will make the image really pop. The shot is looking quite polished, but the color of the office_mask.mov layer is rather dull.
